Getting StartedWhere do I start once I've signed up?
Log in at schools.sidelinehq.co, download the bulk upload templates for players and equipment, upload your roster and gear, add any non-serialized or one-time items, and start checking equipment in and out. Most programs are fully set up in under an hour.
Getting StartedHow do I add players?
You can add players individually or in bulk. To add one at a time, go to the Players tab and click the green plus button. Enter the player's name and graduation year — everything else is optional. To import your whole roster at once, use the Bulk Upload option and upload the template with your player list.
Getting StartedHow do I add equipment?
Go to the Equipment tab and click the green plus button. Choose serialized (individually tracked items like helmets), non-serialized (bulk items like shoulder pads tracked by quantity), or one-time checkout (items like mouthpieces that won't be returned). Fill in the details and hit add.
Getting StartedHow do I bulk upload players and equipment?
For players, go to the Players tab, click Bulk Upload, and download the template. Fill it out with your roster info and upload the XLS file. For serialized equipment, go to Equipment Management under serialized, click Bulk Upload, download the template, and upload your gear list. Both imports take seconds.
Check-In / Check-OutHow do I check equipment out to a player?
Find the item in your Equipment Management tab and hit the checkout button, then select the player from the dropdown. You can also go to a player's card, click Issue Equipment, and choose the gear to assign. Both ways log the transaction automatically.
Managing GearHow do I edit a player or piece of equipment?
For players, go to their player card and click the pencil icon to edit any field — name, graduation year, guardian info, and more. For equipment, find the item in the Equipment Management tab and click into it to update details like location, condition, or notes.
Managing GearHow do I mark equipment as lost?
Find the item in the Checked Out column and click the three dots to mark it as lost, or go to the player's card and click the triangle icon next to the item. When the gear is found, click 'Mark as Found' — the item is automatically checked back in and ready for the next person.
